What is the ONE consistent fact we can state about Jehovah's Witness teaching and Doctrine?
by Terry inuntil the scientific method came along, your guess was as good as mine.. science differed from opinion by qualifying hypothesis with testing and something called falsifiability.. what was it?.
you have to find a way to state a scientific theory by making it disprovable!.
if you have the theory "all swans are white" it is testable and disprovable how?.

or, are jws of the great crowd assured they will pass the final judgement.

Didn't care much for Jaracz, he's one of the reasons I lost the belief in the whole 144,000 thing, I mean, if he was chosen worthy as one of those to rule as a king and priest for 1000 years and that little old faithful brother in my congregation that is so warm and compassionate isn't, something had gone awry quite terribly with the selection process.

This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

Love how the new REVISED NWT has added...that's right "ADDED" to the 1 Cor 6:9 with its blatant slant toward anti-gay. It is incredible how much they have moved from a translation to an interpretation. Grab and interlinear, read the word for word, and compare. Integrity? Hardly.

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

1914 is integral to the hype and thus cannot be changed. It may be marginalized, but changing it means that the organization was never imbued with supernatural, "we know and you don't" capability. The GB flourish because of that date. They thrive on the succession of know-it-alls and thus, "LISTEN (to US) OBEY (US) and be BLESSED (by GOd).
